“Taking part in a work placement was the moment I thought, ‘This is what I really want to do.’ I wanted to teach and not just look after children, but support their learning and their lives.”

T Level Education and Early Years learner, Elissa, has developed her skills and confidence during work placements at a variety of local schools. 🏫

By studying a T Level, she's also gained valuable insights into the Early Years and Childcare sectors, which she now applies every day at College. 👏

"I like that you get a lot of creative freedom. We have set stuff that we have to do, but we pick the colours and designs; it is basically down to us how we do it. I've liked doing a lot of the research pieces about different designs, pieces and designers."

Molly is one of our students on our new Level 2 Fashion and Marketing course. ✂️👗📷

So far, she's loved discovering the work of artists including Danielle Clough Embroidery, whose embroidery pieces look just like paintings.

By developing their own creative style in College, all students are encouraged to bring their ideas to life and build their confidence.

Our students filled the Ambition building at the annual Freshers’ Fayre, as new and returning students came together to start the new academic year. 🎉

They explored a wide range of activities, support services and opportunities available to them. From fun mini games and free treats to advice and information from local organisations, there was plenty to discover.

When Uyen came to the UK from Vietnam 10 months ago, she was very shy and couldn’t speak English.

Since starting College, she’s grown in confidence, developed her English and made new friends. 🌟

Uyen has also loved being able to share her culture with other students and learn about their different experiences, helping her feel more connected and confident at College. 🌍

Her journey shows how learning a new skill can unlock opportunities far beyond the classroom, building confidence, creating lasting friendships and fostering a real sense of belonging within the community.
