We travelled to Shetland at the weekend to take part in Wool Week, hosted by Jamieson & Smith, the Woolbrokers. Earlier this year, our 3rd year textile students collaborated with the Shetland based company to produce contemporary textile collections, celebrating wool and using Shetland wool, sponsored by J & S.

The overall winner of this collaboration, Megan Beattie (now in her final year), was invited up to Shetland to participate in the events and activities of Wool Week, learning about wool, fleece and the 'Shetland Ways'. A selection of work from this project is also exhibited at Shetland Museum to be enjoyed by the many visitors to this beautiful part of the world...

Student work includes:
Megan Beattie
Adele Gillespie
Jude Malone
Shona Cook
