Members of the CSSA include Chinese students and scholars from Glasgow universities, visiting Chinese scholars, overseas Chinese and so on. The CSSA Executive Committee holds regular meetings with all Executive Committee members to sum up the deployment of CSSA programmes of activities for the region, ranging from travel, sports competitions, to publication of CSSA journals, as well as holding var

In addition, the CSSA organises comprehensive arts shows for traditional Chinese festivals, Chinese culture and art activities such as exhibitions and scientific and technological exchanges, in order to promote Chinese culture, encourage patriotism among Chinese students and scholars, and call for young Chinese to actively engage in achieving the great rejuvenation of the historic torrent of the Chinese nation.
