Strath SEDS StrathSEDS is a society for students of the University of Strathclyde interested in space

The Strathclyde Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (StrathSEDS) is an engineering/science-based society for undergraduate and postgraduate students of the University of Strathclyde. The society aims to be working on one large space engineering project throughout each academic semester along while running other, smaller projects for members to get involved in. Formed in 2011, Str

athSEDS has since developed the foundations for Scotland's first university satellite programme (StrathSat-R) which was successfully launched on a sounding rocket by the European Space Agency. We are also in the process of designing, building and testing a Pulsed Plasma Thruster (PPT). StrathSEDS works collaboratively with the university's research centres, such as the Advanced Space Concepts Laboratory, and offers great opportunities for academic projects to be carried out within StrathSEDS.

🚀This year for Glasgow Pride, we have our own Pub Crawl taking place!
🚀Please see in the post information about Glasgow’s Pride March and our own event!
🚀The march starts at 11am at Glasgow Green’s Boat House, with an accessible entrance at Nelson Mandela Square. It should finish around late afternoon.
🚀Provisional times would be:

Katie’s Bar: 5:30pm
Speakeasy: 7:30pm
Delmonicas: 9:00pm
Polo Lounge: 11pm

💜HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN IN ENGINEERING DAY⚙️

💫International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) is a UNESCO recognised day with the purpose of de-stigmatising the engineer career path.
💫 Women in STEM are significantly under represented in the workforce, and many of them will never be accepted or considered equal for the sole fact they are women.
💫 This is a damaging precedent, and thankfully, there has been a substantial increase recently of women going into STEM fields.
💫 This gap between male engineers and female engineers must continue to be bridged.
