It brings together the largest concentration of gender historians in Britain and one of the largest in Europe, with research interests that traverse the medieval period to the present day. Established in 2008, The Centre for Gender History brings together staff and students from History and Economic & Social History, as well as cognate areas within the University of Glasgow and partners in other i

nstitutions. The Centre sponsors a regular seminar series on gender history and supports a vibrant research community of masters and doctoral students, who organise the Hufton Postgraduate Reading Group.
