Hartpury Equine Events Updates on Hartpury University and Hartpury College's equine events. They're open to horse riders and enthusiasts across the world, staff and students.

Hartpury College is the largest equine college in the world offering full time and part time Further and Higher Education courses in subjects from BTEC Level 1 Diploma in Horse Care to Postgraduate Research in Equine Performance. Hartpury Equine caters for up to 230 horses at any one time, including 130 student livery places. The Hartpury Equine Academy allows students to combine study with full t

raining support, to allow them to succeed at the highest level. The International ‘Hartpury Arena’ was completed in July 2007. This includes a 70m x 40m competition surface, a covered warm-up area, a 150 seat panoramic restaurant and bar, seating for 600 spectators and hospitality boxes/classrooms. Hartpury College invested in excess of £4.6 million to build a world class arena complex that provides a fantastic teaching environment for students and top-class competition venue to stage local, regional and international competition.

🚗🐎 Travel Update for Competitors 🐎🚗

We have been informed that the A417 at Maisemore is now open.

Competitors travelling to Hartpury this weekend should therefore be able to use their usual route. However, we would still recommend checking your journey before setting off in case of any further traffic updates or delays.

📌 Important Competitor Information

🎼 Dressage Championships
Please note that there are:
• No callers permitted
• No whips allowed in Championship classes
• No Spurs are allowed for the introductory class (as per BD rules)
• Please note: unlike standard British Dressage Championship rules, voice aids will be permitted in all of our classes. However, competitors must ensure they are used considerately and in a manner that does not impact or distract other competitors.

Competitors must wear either:
• Bridle numbers or saddle pad numbers on both sides, OR
• An eventing bib displaying your competition number

Numbers must be clearly visible at all times.

🏇 Showjumping Championships
Please ensure you familiarise yourself with the rules for A7 classes. Under British Showjumping Table A7 rules, competitors jumping clear in the first round will go forward into an second jump-off round against the clock.

All classes throughout the Championships will run under current British Dressage and British Showjumping rules and conditions.

💉 Vaccination Checks
All competitors are required to email a picture of their horse’s passport and vaccination page to:

prior to the competition.

If vaccination pictures are not sent in advance, competitors will be required to bring the passport to the Secretary’s Office before unloading their horse.

❗ Any horse not adhering to the vaccination protocols will not be permitted to compete.
