We were so impressed to hear about Toby's gap year challenge recently!

Toby finished his A Levels at Godalming College last summer, and in April challenged himself to cycle the entire coast of Britain, solo. He set off from Portsmouth, travelling clockwise, up around Wales, around the top of Scotland, and is currently passing through Newcastle.

This has been a continuous journey, mainly wild camping along the way, and he's raising money for Surfers Against Sewage.

A huge well done to St Edmund’s Primary School pupils for an amazing sports day! 🏅

They were brilliantly supported by Godalming College BTEC Sport students, who were key to ensuring everything ran smoothly. From the refreshments to helping with parking, supporting with activities and motivating the younger pupils every step of the way, this will all count towards their coursework.

Fantastic teamwork all round!

As part of the Great Big Green Week, our student-led Eco Club organised three lunchtime screenings: "The Bee Movie", David Attenborough's "Secret Garden", and "The Lorax". Students enjoyed watching these eco-themed programmes with free popcorn in our Social Studies area throughout the week.

In addition, the Eco Club has been doing some wild seed planting around College, and every student was encouraged during tutor group to calculate their carbon footprints, travel to College in a sustainable way, and go Generative AI free for a week. 

Tonight, the People's Emergency Briefing film will be shown at The Borough Hall from 7:30pm to 9:30pm, and we hope many Godalming students attend this free screening to learn more about the implications of climate change.

This week, our First Year Dance, Performing Arts, and Diploma Company Practitioners came together to be bold and inventive, in a powerful new production of Bryony Lavery’s Stockholm.

ClassAction, the College's performance company, aims to unlock every practitioner’s potential, giving them the space to train, perform, and grow through real, shared experience.

Our Performing Arts Centre is a place where discipline meets creativity. Students are encouraged to take risks, support each other, and develop skills that go far beyond the stage.

Stockholm was a brilliant example of that in action: live, immediate and fearless.
