The last 24 hours in Florence: A Masterpiece in itself! 🎨🍕
Our Creative Media and Art students have officially wrapped up their final exploration of this iconic city. From the golden hour glow at Piazzale Michelangelo to the neon lights of the city at night, the inspiration was everywhere!
We fueled up at a local traditional pizzeria, where the students got a front-row seat to the art of dough-tossing and wood-fired perfection. 🤤 To top it all off, we took to the skies on the big wheel for one last breathtaking view of the Florentine skyline. 🎡
Florence, you have been absolutely amazing and a true muse for our students. We’re heading home with full hearts, full stomachs, and very full sketchbooks! ✈️🇮🇹

From 15th-century brushstrokes to 21st-century projections! 🎒🇮🇹

Our final days in Florence were a whirlwind of inspiration. Standing inches away from Da Vinci and Caravaggio at the Uffizi allowed our students to see the raw technique behind the world's most influential art.

We capped off the trip at Palazzo Vecchio, experiencing an immersive media installation that brought history to life. Watching our students bridge the gap between fine art and digital media has been the ultimate highlight. 📽️🎨

​We spent the day at the Leonardo da Vinci Interactive Museum, and honestly? He’s the OG creator. Seeing his sketches turned into real-life machines is the ultimate inspo for our next projects. Turns out, every big idea starts with a simple sketch. ✍️⚙️

The ultimate classroom isn’t within four walls—it’s the streets of Tuscany! 🇮🇹✨

Our Creative Media and Art students have had an unforgettable few days soaking up the soul of the Renaissance. From catching the train to Pisa to size up the iconic Leaning Tower (and finding the perfect angles for the 'gram, of course! 📸), to exploring the local flavors of the region, every moment has been pure inspiration.

Back in Florence, the highlight was standing face-to-face with a masterpiece: Michelangelo’s David at the Galleria dell'Accademia. Seeing the detail in person is a game-changer for any aspiring artist! 🏛️🎨

To top it all off, we got a taste of the Italian "Vita Accademica" with visits to:
📍 Florence University of the Arts – Immersing ourselves in the rich educational culture.
📍 Academia Italiana – Exploring the cutting edge of Italian design and art education.

Naples ➡️ Florence in a flash! 💨✨
Our Creative Art and Media students swapped the coastal grit of the south for the golden light of Tuscany today, arriving via high-speed train and heading straight into the heart of the Renaissance.
Florence isn't just a city; for our crew, it’s a living, breathing mood board. Here’s what’s been filling our camera rolls so far:
The Big One: Standing beneath the massive terracotta dome of Santa Maria del Fiore. Pictures don't do the scale (or the detail!) justice. ⛪️
Golden Hour: Crossing the iconic Ponte Vecchio. Between the jewelry shops and the river views, the "aesthetic" is officially 10/10. 🌉
Green Inspo: Wandering through the Boboli Gardens. From hidden sculptures to manicured hedges, it’s the ultimate outdoor studio for our artists to find their next perspective. 🌿🎨

Campus Update - Wednesday 7 January - Weather Notice ❄️

Our Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft campuses are expected to be open as normal tomorrow. All lessons, exams and activities will go ahead as planned.

As temperatures remain low, please wrap up warm, wear sensible footwear and stick to the gritted pathways around campus.

We'll continue to monitor the weather closely. If anything changes, we'll share an update on our website and social channels.

We are planning for both our Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft campuses to be open as normal tomorrow, Tuesday 6 January, for all students and staff.
