Lovely makeup by 3rd year student, Sofia Cook. Sofia used acetone-based baldcap and encapsulated silicone horns which she sculpted, moulded and cast herself.

Our first year students are a creative bunch! They each created a latex mask last semester as part of our long running Mask Making Techniques module . Each student answered the brief in their own unique way and developed some fundamental skills that will serve them well in future modules. Well done!

Silicone running and application is part of our Creative Practitioner module. Students are required to design a character makeup using a combination of moulding/casting techniques.

BAFTA winning Makeup Designer, Nick Dudman delivered an inspiring seminar to our students last month. Nick spoke about how he began his career in makeup effects and the numerous projects on which he has worked. Students were also given the opportunity to present their portfolios to him for review.
