โฐ Donโ€™t miss the deadline to apply for financial support!

If your young person could be entitled to financial help with the costs of studying, make sure they get their application in by 23 October.

Our quick finance guide explains who may be eligible and what support could be available, including help with things like travel, meals and equipment.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Have a chat with your young person and encourage them to check their eligibility and apply before the deadline.

And remember, students can take responsibility for their own application too - they donโ€™t need to wait for a parent or carer to do it for them.

A college experience that stays with you.

College is about more than gaining qualifications. It's about discovering new interests, meeting new people and making memories along the way.

Student life at Grimsby Institute goes far beyond the classroom. There are opportunities to travel, work with employers, take part in enrichment activities and get involved in events across campus.

These experiences help students grow in confidence, build friendships and get even more from their time with us.

๐Ÿ’™ It's all part of what makes Grimsby Institute different.

๐Ÿ–ค Black History Month 2026 ๐Ÿ–ค

Throughout October, we're celebrating Black History Month by recognising the achievements, contributions, culture and history that have helped shape our communities and society.

Students can get involved in a range of activities across campus, including quizzes, creative competitions, film afternoons, interactive displays, music, and opportunities to learn about influential figures from Black history and the present day.

Join us as we learn, celebrate, reflect and inspire. Keep an eye out for activities taking place throughout the month and get involved.

We asked our students what helps them look after their mental wellbeing.

Whether it's staying active, being creative, spending time with friends, or enjoying a hobby, taking time to do the things that help you feel your best can make a real difference.

Remember, if you're struggling, support is available and you don't have to face things alone.

A huge thank you to Ibstock for their generous donation of bricks to the Grimsby Institute. ๐Ÿงฑ

These materials will support our Brickwork students as they develop their practical skills, giving them even more opportunities to gain hands-on experience in a realistic working environment.

The donation will also play a valuable role in student projects and activities throughout the year.

Thank you for supporting the next generation of construction professionals as they build their future.
