Year 13, here is exactly what happens this week.

Tomorrow, Tuesday 1 September, is an induction day for year 13 only. Be in for 9am and go to your tutor group. You do not need a timetable for tomorrow.

Wednesday 2 September is an induction day for the new year 12s, also a 9am start. Year 13 are not in that day.

Thursday 3 September, both year groups are in and normal timetables start. These are your new timetables for the year, so don't go by last year's.

On Cedar: timetables were showing on Friday and have now disappeared. Our team are working on it. We would rather not promise you a time it will be back, and the main thing is that you don't need it to come in tomorrow.

If your son or daughter is anxious about walking in without knowing the plan, message us and we'll have someone meet them at the door. We would much rather do that.

The T level in education and early years at Prior Pursglove College is worth three A levels and combines classroom study with a real industry placement in nurseries and schools. You'll learn child development, safeguarding and professional practice, and leave with hands-on experience that makes you stand out to universities and employers.

From here, students progress into roles like early years practitioner, teaching assistant or nursery practitioner, or on to university for teaching, education and health degrees.

A career in tech starts with a T level.

Prior Pursglove College now offers two digital T levels, each worth three A levels and each built around a real industry placement.

Digital support and cyber security covers ethical hacking, pe*******on testing, digital forensics and security operations. If you're curious about how systems work, and how they break, this is your course.

Digital software development teaches you to program, problem-solve and build real software, with coding club, industry visits and guest speakers from the tech world along the way.

Both routes lead to in-demand careers, from cyber security analyst to software developer, or on to university and higher apprenticeships.

Every music student passed this summer.

And music at Prior Pursglove College is about far more than the exam: weekly ensembles and choir, an annual musical theatre production with a live band, open mic sessions and trips to live performances.

Finlay Cadman came out with an A* in English language, an A in law and a B in music, and is off to Durham University to study politics and international relations. "In my second year I took part in the choir project with Pete Churchill. I found it a really enriching experience, I'd never done anything like that before. I felt very supported throughout my two years, and it got me where I wanted to go."

Every applied science student passed this summer.

Applied science at Prior Pursglove College takes biology, chemistry and physics out of the textbook and into the real world: healthcare, the environment and industry. Assessment mixes exams with coursework, so your grade reflects more than one day in an exam hall. Students get out of the classroom too, with microbiology days at Teesside University and crime scene investigation days.

It was a strong summer across the board, with applied general qualifications at the college achieving a 100% pass rate across 12 subjects.

From September the course is delivered as the new OCR Cambridge Advanced National in Applied Science, a Level 3 qualification built for progression to university and science careers, from biomedical science to forensics and nursing.

The arts at Prior Pursglove College had a summer to be proud of, and the creative programme here is one of the broadest in the Tees Valley: fine art, photography, graphic communication, 3D design, film, media, music, drama and performing arts, plus the Gold Arts Award. Students work on live briefs, paint community murals and take study trips to London and Paris.

Hannah Pugh leaves with a B in film and a C in photography, and a place at the Northern School of Art to study film and TV production. "There were points where doing college felt impossible. But I refused to take time off and I refused to leave. My teachers had a lot of faith in me. I never really wanted to go to college, and now I'm going to university. It's funny how it falls into place."

Every further maths student at Prior Pursglove College completed the course and passed this summer.

Among them was Reuben Webster, who came out with an A* in maths, an A* in further maths, an A* in economics and an A in physics, and is off to Durham University to study maths. "It's just a nice place to be. It's a good community and a good place to learn. I took part in the maths club. It's a great chance to meet people and to study what you enjoy."

A 100% pass rate in law, on both routes.

Every A level and BTEC law student passed this summer, with 51% of A level grades at A*, A or B.

Eva Jones came out with an A* in law, a B in English language and literature, and a distinction in performing arts. She is off to Mountview to study musical theatre. "I found Prior really supportive and helpful. My teachers were absolutely amazing throughout. I've got in exactly where I wanted to go."

Harry Donichey turned his year around: "I was on Ds in January. Then I got taken into Leslie's office and she told me straight what I needed to do. I came out with two As and a B, and now I'm going to study law at Newcastle."
