Our student rowers delivered a historic performance at the National Schools’ Regatta, securing multiple medals and a top 10 finish against 159 clubs and schools, in one of the UK’s most competitive junior rowing events! 🤩

The highlight of the regatta saw Hartpury make history by winning both the Championship Girls’ Double Sculls and Championship Open Double Sculls titles, believed to be the first time any club or school has achieved the double in the history of the National Schools’ Regatta 👏

Gloucester-Hartpury RFC has been recognised for its outstanding success on and off the field after winning two major honours at the inaugural SoGlos Gloucestershire Lifestyle & Community Awards 2026 🌟

The club was named Sports Team/Club of the Year before also receiving the evening’s top accolade, the overall Lifestyle & Community Winner of the Year award 🤩 A fantastic result that we're very proud of!

Our MSc Animal Assisted Counselling and Psychotherapy students took part in mock AACP sessions last week, supported by students from the BSc (Hons) Human–Animal Interaction programme. These sessions gave students valuable hands-on experience working with a variety of species, helping them to understand the unique roles and therapeutic contributions different animals can bring to practice.🐾

The experience also encouraged the postgraduate students to think beyond the dogs they currently work with, exploring the potential of partnering with farms or incorporating other animals into future settings.

We had a fantastic time at Badminton Horse Trials last week! 🏇 A huge thank you to everyone who visited our stand, it was lovely meeting you all.

It was great to catch up with our alumni for drinks on Sunday, we had some lovely conversations and reminisced on their time at Hartpury. 🥂

Graduate Charlotte Barber is making a significant impact in the fight against antimicrobial resistance (AMR), having project-led the development of an innovative new equine health dashboard. 🔬

The newly launched platform provides an interactive, accessible way to explore antimicrobial resistance trends within the UK equine population. Her work demonstrates how skills developed through equine-focused degrees, such as data analysis, scientific research and applied animal health knowledge, can translate into roles addressing major global challenges.
