Yesterday, members of the Antac team were proud to support a community project organised by VIVO Defence Services at a local barracks near Gloucester. Representing Antac were Robert Jones and Adam Tucker. They were joined by members of the VIVO site team, including Tessa Pritchard, along with colleagues from the Defence Infrastructure Organisation.
The team volunteered their time to help paint a cadet unit helping to improve the facilities for young cadets. Well done to everyone involved.

It is with great sadness that this week we said a final farewell to our friend and colleague, Harry Pottle. Over the last four years, Harry worked as a Quantity Surveyor in our Faringdon office, building strong relationships with project teams across the business and with our supply chain partners. He often shared his knowledge, stories, and light-hearted humour with everyone he met.

Harry was a talented photographer, a car enthusiast and keen dancer, always on hand with a tale from the “good old times”. We especially enjoyed his random facts that left you wondering how he came across them!

Harry truly made an impact on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be deeply missed.

Antac supported Pinnacle Group with a community litter pick and road sign cleaning. This is the second time Antac have supported Pinnacle at Boscombe Down.

Stephen Burton, Managing Director was on site this morning to see the progress on one of our current projects with the MoD Housing Project Team. The property is undergoing a full refurbishment, including a new kitchen, bathroom, flooring & painted throughout along with new windows and doors. All works are being completed in line with MoD Housing guidelines, helping to provide high-quality homes and improved living standards for service families.

Antac recently supported a fantastic community project alongside

VIVO Defence Services, helping to refresh The Hub Community Centre at Worthy Down. Antac proudly supplied all paints and materials, with support from our dedicated team Rob Murray, Daniel Buck, Dom Gaskill & David Turnbull. We were delighted to receive the following message from the Garrison Support Officer:

“A huge thank you to the VIVO/Antac team for their hard work in refreshing The Hub Community Centre, Worthy Down. The transformation is wonderful and has truly revitalised a space that sits at the heart of our community.

This centre is essential for our families, offering a space to interact and build connections with others in similar situations. We truly appreciate the effort put into making this such an inviting environment for everyone to enjoy.”

We’re proud to have played a part in supporting such an important community space.

Antac is pleased to confirm that MoD Housing Health & Safety Managers, Leadville Parsons and Martin Hyndman, have successfully completed the Tetra Leaning Ladder Instructor Course. This achievement further strengthens Antac’s in-house competence in working at height and reinforces the company’s commitment to improving safety standards across all MoD Housing operations.

The two-day course is designed for in-company instructors and provides the knowledge and practical skills required to train operatives in the safe use of leaning ladders with fall protection systems. It focuses on reducing the risks associated with traditional ladder use by introducing personal fall protection equipment (FPE), correct anchorage methods, and maintaining three points of contact when accessing elevations. Candidates must also demonstrate their ability to deliver both classroom and practical training sessions.

Delivered in line with BS 8454:2006, the course ensures training meets recognised best practice for work at height and rescue. Following successful completion, both Leadville and Martin have achieved instructor certification, enabling Antac to further enhance its internal training capability and strengthen safe working practices across its contracts.

While at the Health & Safety Event 2026, Geoff Fox and James Lutman visited the IOSH stand and took part in the mini quiz. We’re delighted to share that the results are in, Geoff secured first place and James came second, both winning a fantastic prize. A brilliant achievement by both, well done!

It was a great opportunity to stay up to date with new technologies, gain insights, and bring back ideas to help us continue improving safety across our operations.
