It’s World Chocolate Day – but not for your pets!

While we humans may love a sweet chocolate treat, it’s important to remember that chocolate is highly toxic to pets. Even small amounts can cause vomiting, diarrhoea, seizures, or worse.

Top tips to keep your pets safe:
✅ Store chocolate well out of reach
✅ Remind guests and children not to share
✅ Know the signs of chocolate poisoning: restlessness, rapid breathing, tremors
✅ Contact your vet immediately if you suspect your pet has eaten chocolate

Let’s make sure World Chocolate Day is safe for everyone in the family – including your furry friends!

Lost Dog Awareness Day 2025: Keep Your Pets Safe!

Today is Lost Dog Awareness Day—a reminder to take extra steps to keep our furry friends safe and sound. Every year, thousands of dogs go missing, but with the right precautions, you can help ensure your pup stays safe!
Tips to Prevent Your Dog from Getting Lost:

Microchip & ID Tags: Ensure your dog is microchipped and their ID tags are up-to-date with your current contact information.
Secure Your Home & Garden: Regularly check for gaps or broken fences. Dogs can be surprisingly good escape artists!
Use a Strong Lead: When out walking, always use a secure lead, especially in unfamiliar areas.
Current Photos: Keep recent photos of your dog handy in case they go missing.
Know Your Local Resources: Familiarise yourself with local lost pet groups and shelters.

If Your Dog Does Go Missing:
Act quickly by posting on local social media groups and contacting shelters.
Use online databases to report your lost pet.
Don’t give up—dogs have been found weeks or even months later!

Keeping our pets safe is a priority. Share this post to spread awareness and help more dogs find their way back home!
