Coming to Scotland to study with UHI? ➕If you’re an international student under 25 and starting your first university course, you may be eligible for the MenB vaccine.

If you’re eligible, aim to receive both doses at least two weeks before starting your course. If that’s not possible before you travel, you can receive one or both doses after you arrive in Scotland.

Today marked the last day on campus for our nursing students based at UHI House in Inverness and in Stornoway. 💙

Students and staff came together to celebrate the end of term, reflect on their time studying with us, and look ahead to their next chapter.

As part of the celebrations, students wrote a letter to the incoming first-year nursing students who will arrive on campus in September. This letter shares advice, tips and words of encouragement about what to expect as they begin their nursing journey.

We also welcomed Sharon Mowatt to UHI House, who is a practicing nurse at Raigmore Hospital. She shared top tips for new nurses, which included:

➕ Don’t forget your pen and be organised with lists
➕ Don’t be afraid to ask for help – you’re all one big team on your ward
➕ There’s no such thing as a silly question

A lovely way to mark the end of one chapter. We look forward to seeing all our nursing students in their gowns for their graduation on Friday 13 November 2026, at Eden Court Theatre and Cinema. 🎓
