Your horse will benefit from professional care during their time with us, including (but not limited to!):
✅ Routine dentistry
✅ Routine physio
✅ Saddle fitting
✅ Routine farrier visits
✅ Nutritional consultations
✅ Daily care by qualified staff
✅ Individual management and training plans
✅ Regular workload and schooling
✅ Social turnout groups (individual on request)

We’ve been keeping a secret 🤫

After purchasing our first-ever college-owned horse, Quinn, last year, we’re incredibly excited to have welcomed two more horses to our college family this summer! 🤩

Introducing George 🍊 and River 🤎

They’ve both settled in well over the past few weeks, and we’re looking forward to our learners meeting them when term starts 🐴💛

We're starting our search again for more wonderful horses for the next academic year.

We are looking for horses that:
• Are 14hh and above
• Are over the age of 5 years old
• Have a good temperament
• Are suitable for all areas of stable management.
• Are suitable for ground schooling.
• Are suitable to be ridden by a variety of learners for flatwork and jumping.

What we provide:
• Experienced, qualified staff that supervise all interactions with horses
• Turnout
• Owners are able to visit and ride
• Horses required September to June

Something exciting has been happening in our fields 👀
Huge thanks to C**t Stables for supplying our new field shelters 🤩
Each of our paddocks will soon have a 24x12 field shelter, so come rain or shine, our horses will have the opportunity to escape mother nature as they choose 🌞🌧️

🐴 Celebrating 20 Years of Our Equestrian Centre at Suffolk Rural! 🎉

We’re marking two decades of our equestrian community with a special Open Afternoon, and we’d love to see you there.

We're welcoming equine staff, past and present students, and past and present horse owners back to campus for an afternoon of reminiscing, reconnecting, and celebrating everything that’s made the department what it is today.

📆 Sunday 7th June
🕛 From 2 pm – 4 pm

Expect a relaxed, feel‑good atmosphere, complete with tea, cake, and plenty of memories.

If the equine department has been part of your journey, this is your invitation to come back and be part of the celebration. 💚🐎

🚨 Updated Biosecurity Measures 🚨

Following the increased number of equine influenza cases, we have updated our biosecurity measures.

For all arena hire, we kindly request the following:

🛂 For private hire, passports evidencing vaccinations to be shared in advance, or on the day prior to the horse being unloaded.

📋 For clubs and event organisers, please check passports for all attending horses.

💉 All horses to have had an equine influenza vaccination within the last 12 months.

🫧 All equipment, clothing and footwear to be clean, with foot mats and hand sanitiser to be used on arrival.

🐴 All horses to be loaded and unloaded promptly, with no grazing anywhere on site and no tying up in the car park to minimise time on site.

🌡️ Please monitor your horses for any signs of equine influenza and do not attend the site if they are showing any symptoms.

⛔️ Any horses that don’t meet these requirements will not be permitted on site.
