For the third year in a row the amazing MOVE SUMMIT team of organisers, planners and volunteers is getting into gear for another inspiring international event in February, aimed at promoting all things animation-, VFX- and Games-related. See below for details - those of you who are free to get involved, help out and take part!

VOLUNTEERS, we need you!

Fancy having a unique experience at Move Summit? We are looking for: welcomers, guides, registration and customer service support.

We will try to accommodate interests, but flexibility is essential.
The event will take place on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of Feb in Edinburgh. Though we will need some volunteers for set up on the 19th.

The Animation Centrifuge touched down for a second time in Madrid last month. Thanks again to Nico Matji and the amazing students and staff at Lightbox Academy - and an additional shout-out to Gustavo Liévano for all the amazing organisational support. Thanks also to Special Effects Animator and Disney/Bluth/Spielberg veteran, Steve McDermott and his colleagues on the wonderful crew of Sergio Pablos's ground-breaking animated feature, "Klaus" for their Friday evening company and hospitality during my stay!

So - technically speaking, my Animation Layout workshops in Costa Rica on Monday and Tuesday of next week will be Animation Centrifuge presentations and - thanks to the generosity of the kind organisers at Veritas Universidad in San José, I'll also be getting the chance to visit four or five of the local animation studios while I'm in town, so - fingers crossed for some future collaborations between animation talent in Scotland (and Norway) and animation talent in Central America...!! Watch this space for photos....

Delighted to see our old Animation Base Camp pal, Dave Feiss, is to be delivering a masterclass for Animation Skillnet over in Ireland! Here's hoping, while he's in the country, that some of our 2016 "Eat, Prey, Love" Base Camp alumni may have the chance to catch up with him - buy him a well-deserved beer! After all - we managed to get through all 8 weeks of the Base Camp without any of the participants ever actually being in the same city, let alone the same room, as Dave and the other mentors...!
