Since establishment in 1967, HETA have provided over 5000 apprentices to industry. 🚀 Join us in engineering the future!

We’re looking for an experienced engineer to deliver Level 4 and Level 5 subjects as part of the HETA NC/HNC/HND programme, with the majority of teaching based in Hull.

Subjects include Engineering Maths, Mechanical Principles, Engineering Science, CAD, Engineering Design, Fluid Mechanics, Health & Safety and Lean Manufacturing.

Applicants should:
• Be degree qualified
• Have 5+ years’ relevant industry experience
• Have strong technical and interpersonal skills

A teaching qualification is desirable, but full training will be provided.

A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential due to travel between HETA sites.

In this role, you’ll ensure our programmes meet the requirements of awarding organisations including EAL, City & Guilds and ECITB, while supporting high standards across our training.

We’re looking for someone with:

Looking to get into engineering but struggling to find that first opportunity?
We’re launching a brand-new Engineering Operator Course, giving 17–18-year-olds the chance to gain practical experience, develop industry skills and move into a full-time role.

The course includes 6 months of hands-on training at our Hull or Scunthorpe training centre, followed by a guaranteed full-time role with one of our regional employer partners.

Hull opportunities include Cranswick, Smith+Nephew and Swift Caravans, while Scunthorpe learners could go on to work with employers including Ductile Casting, Tayto, Corrboard or Marshalls.

Once in role, there’s also further support and rewards, including driving lesson support, laptops and a bonus as you progress.
