Dear Classics/Ancient History alumni,

We warmly invite you to event celebrating 200 years of Classics and Ancient History at Lampeter Campus.

As part of our celebrations of the bicentenary, we are hosting a small reunion for alumni who studied a classics related subject (single or joint honours). This will take place on the 26 May (2022).
The event reunion will start at 4pm on the 26 May with afternoon tea and cake. This will give alumni a chance to catch up with old friends. Current students will also be invited to come along, so that generations past and present can mingle and share stories.

In the evening we are then hosting a talk by Prof. Edith Hall on the topic of: Ozymandias since the Cold War. This talk will take place in the Founders Library at 6pm. To be followed by a free wine and cheese reception (see accompanying poster).

Through funds from the Lampeter and West Wales Classical Association, we are able to offer free accommodation for the evening on the 26 May for the first 5 alumni who can confirm their attendance (please only take the spot if you know you can attend). We can also offer a modest subsidy of £20 for travel.

We would love it if you were able to join us in person to mark our 200-year celebration. If you are able to come to the event, please RSVP at: [email protected]

Best regards
Matt, Errietta, Kyle, Ruth, Magdalena and the rest of the Classics Team past and present at Lampeter
