Introducing you to Leeds Arts Union Art Markets! 🛒🛍️🎨

Leeds Arts Union runs a variety of art markets throughout the academic year to give students first hand experience of selling their own products and designs to their peers and the general public.

All students are eligible to sign up, stalls are always free and earnings from sales are yours to keep!

We advertise our art market call outs over on our Instagram page as well as emailing students directly about these opportunities.

You can apply for a stall through a short form and will be contacted after submissions close to find out if you have successfully secured a spot in the market.

This year the first art market we will on Tuesday the 15th of September. Come on down!

It’s nearly the start of your new student adventure and there is so much to be excited about. From making new friends to getting involved in our great Freshers event, there’s lots of fresh experiences to try out. There's something for everyone! We can't wait to welcome you to your new home here at LAU!

*OPPORTUNITY FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS*

We are looking for photographers to capture our Freshers events! 📷 📷 📷

We are looking for a student(s) with experience in daytime event photography to capture some of our SU, society and Exec events happening in the first few weeks of the academic year.

We have multiple events we would like to be photographer including:
Exec Lunch: 14th September 12pm – 1pm
Yoga Taster: 14th September 5pm – 6pm
Indian Society Chat & Charades: 22nd September 12:30pm – 1:30pm
DJ Soc & Film Soc: An Experience of Film & Music: 24th September 4:30pm – 5pm
LAU Pub Quiz: 1st October 5pm – 6pm

The chosen photographer will be paid a set fee of £50 for an hour of their time and the RAW images.

The Green Gown Awards celebrate amazing sustainability work happening across universities and colleges in the UK and Ireland. This year’s ceremony is coming to Leeds on 16th November and we’re looking for student volunteers from Leeds Arts University to get involved.

You can get involved by creating sustainable table decorations, capturing photographs of the event, writing articles, creating social media content, or bringing your own ideas.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience, build your portfolio, develop green skills and be a part of something positive and hopeful. You'll also receive a certificate of participation and a short reference you can include in your CV.

*NEW OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENT MAKERS*⁠

Are you a LAU maker who wants to sell your exciting new designs?

Leeds Arts Union will be running an art market as part of our Freshers Week!

We're giving you the chance to be a part of our first in person art market of 2026! The art market will be taking place on Tuesday the 15th of September from 11am - 2pm in the University BW Cafe.

We want to give the new Level 4's a taste of being part of a specialist Arts Students' Union and so they can decorate their new digs with makers from our very own community!

Deadline for this form to be filled out and photos of work to be sent to us is Monday 10th August 9am.
