Leeds Beckett Alumni

15/10/2026

After an excellent two weeks of Leeds Digital Festival programming, we're reflecting on the contributions our alumni made to the Festival's impressive line up of events created by organisations, experts and innovators from across the region.

Late last month, we hosted a Project Mapping Workshop at Knowledge led by two of Leeds Beckett University postgraduate alumni, Daniel Brown and Vincent Gallagher, the workshop covered theory including what projection mapping is, how to get the best effects, as well as practical examples of projection mapping and software.

It was fantastic to welcome our alumni back and hear them share their expertise, as well as learn more about the exciting work they’ve gone on to do since completing their studies.

FINE ART GRADUATE TAKES NEWEST EXHIBITION TO BRINK, LONDON

Richard Baker, Fine Art graduate from Leeds School of Arts, is holding his newest exhibition, Anticipation of Memory, at Brink, London. Baker makes paintings depicting design objects, mid-century furniture, and increasingly, interiors.

His newest work, Anticipation of Memory, brings together paintings made over the past decade, each one a way of owning something before, or instead of, having it.

The exhibition will run until Saturday 14 November 2026.

Last week, Leeds Beckett alumnus Sir Kevin Sinfield passed through Headingley as part of his final 7 in 7 challenge to raise awareness and funds for the Motor Neurone Disease community. Colleagues across the university gathered along his route to create a purple guard of honour and cheer him on as he completed his route into Headingley Stadium.

We were beyond proud to celebrate Kevin's continued dedication to fundraising. Congratulations, Kevin! 👏
