Radiography at Leeds The University of Leeds School of Medicine is home to our outstanding BSc Radiography programme. Our course is ranked 1st in the UK.

Radiography at Leeds is ranked 1st in the Complete University Guide 2016 for radiography programmes and 100% of our students are in study or employed in a professional/ managerial job within six months! This degree will equip you to become a safe, reflective practitioner who is able to deliver care as part of a multidisciplinary team. We use both academic and workplace learning throughout an exten

ded academic year. Our Radiography programme runs over three years of full time study, which combines both theory and practice during a total of 55 weeks on placement. Placements are an integral part of your learning and we have an established circuit of high quality NHS environments in which you will receive clinical training from experienced radiography professionals. Clinical practice is a fundamental and critical component of the programme and you will gain lots of work experience in clinical departments with our partner regional NHS Trust Hospitals.

Diagnostic radiography and the use of imaging is fascinating. Did you know we can estimate the age of a person by their bone formation?
When imaging the hand several bones fuse at particular age brackets. It is so interesting when imaging paediatric hands as sometimes some bones just appear to be ‘floating’ 😊
