I guess as my degree and degree show are all over I should make sure Ive shared it all on here!
My final collection of three pieces 🔸🟪🔺🟨🔹
This series of work is an abstract look at the rich colours and unique shapes from within stain glass windows in Leicester, an attempt to capture the beauty the of these artworks and allow this to influence my blown glasswork.

This work is all about capturing my fascination with stained glass windows in Leicester. Exposing the beauty of these artworks that live amongst us and finding a new way to use the key elements of colour, shape and light and translating this into blown glass.

Monday 5th: 10am - 4pm
Tuesday 6th: 10am - 4pm
Wednesday 7th: 10am - 7pm
Thursday 8th: 10am - 4pm
Friday 9th: 10am - 4pm
⭐️ You don’t need to prebook, just turn up, wear a mask and follow social distancing!
⭐️ There are fantastic courses across the whole Vijay Patel building but you will find Design Crafts on the 6th Floor of the Arts Tower!! ✨✨

anddd.. that’s it! Final year compete ☑️ I’ve handed in all my work from this crazy year and set up for the degree show.. It’s all starting to feel right now, which means the end is really here. Madness, 3 years just flys by.
The is open from tomorrow, get yourself down to take a look at all the amazing courses who have weathered such an uncertain year and still put on an amazing degree show. See you there! 🙌

Sometimes things go great, sometimes things go badly and.. sometimes things just go completely random.. 😅
- so this ‘piece’ is the result of when, 2/3s of the way through a piece, the welding in the pipe breaks and mid swing the piece goes cursing across the floor and turns into a pancake puddle 🤣
Those non-glassblowing followers may have no idea what I just described but basically - the glass is on a long iron pipe when we work. This piece decided it didn’t to stay intact and broke in two - this most definitely not meant to happen 🤣🤣
You can see the pipe still wedged in there 🙈
