Chemistry Family & Fun Day.

This week we had our annual family & fun day in School of Chemistry. Organised with the Chemistry EDI Committee, it is a wonderful opportunity for students, staff, and families to come together and unwind, ready for the start of the new academic year next month. And this year we aligned it with the visit of the Chemistry Summer students from the Dalian University of Technology (DUT) in China - part of the Leicester International Institute partnership. We also welcomed the University CITE (Centre for International Training and Education) leaders too, who were also helping the visiting students to network with the many new faces.

A brilliant afternoon, starting in the Science Kitchen for fresh pizza and cakes with our resident celebrity baker , plus some chemistry quizzes, before progressing to Victoria Park nearby for games.

Only a few weeks now until we welcome our new cohort of undergraduates to .

Highlights from today’s Open Day in the School of Chemistry. Chemistry demonstrations in Lecture Theatre B with Dr Phil Ash, followed by departmental tours and finally liquid nitrogen ice cream with in the Science Kitchen to finish.
Great to see so many of you, please do get in touch with any further questions. Hopefully we will be welcoming you onto your course here in the near future!
