https://www.isae-supaero.fr/en/academics/advanced-masters/program SEEDS (SpacE Exploration and Development Systems) is a 2nd level Specializing Masters Programme focused on the human and robotic exploration of space and on the related systems, instrumentation and techniques. It aims to

provide the applied physics and engineering skills required to develop space systems and missions from initial concept through design, assembly and verification, to launch and operations. To reach these objectives SEEDS stems from a joint initiative of three European Higher Education Institutions located in three countries, namely The University of Leicester in UK, Politecnico di Torino in Italy and Institut Supérieur de l’Aéronautique et l’Espace (ISAE - Supaero, Toulouse) in France. All three partners share common features including: strong links with space industry, heritage in space research and exploration and the inclusion of high-level expertise in the delivery of teaching, based on both the academia and the industry.

🌍 DEMETRA Mission Final Presentation at ESA-ESTEC 🚀
The SEEDS XVI team proudly presented the final outcomes of the DEMETRA mission at ESA-ESTEC on October 21st. Held in the Concurrent Design Facility (CDF), this presentation was an extraordinary opportunity to showcase our work and engage with experts in space exploration.

With the completion of the project work, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our institutions—Politecnico di Torino, Scuola di Master e Formazione Permanente - Polito, ISAE Supaero, University of Leicester, Thales Alenia Space, Agenzia Spaziale Italiana, ESA - European Space Agency and ALTEC. We’re incredibly grateful to ESA for hosting us and for this unforgettable opportunity.

Each student received their certification, wrapping up a year of dedication and collaboration! 🌌

🚀 We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the Leicester phase of our master’s program, where we had the opportunity to present our final projects at the Space Park! 🌍✨

This phase has been instrumental in shaping our journey as we work toward the goals of our DEMETRA mission. The experience gained here will be invaluable as we move forward.

Next up, we’ll be attending the 75th International Astronautical Congress Milan 2024 this October! We can’t wait to join the global aerospace community and present our latest developments.

🚀 We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our master’s program phase in Toulouse! ✨

Our heartfelt thanks go to ISAE Supaero for providing us with the opportunity to work and learn in such an inspiring environment. We also want to express our gratitude to CNES for hosting our final presentation.

We are excited to reveal the official name of our mission: DEMETRA (Demonstration of Experimental Martian Exploration Technologies in a Relevant Architecture). Stay tuned for more updates on our journey!

𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 for the 15° edition of the 's programme in SpacE Exploration and Development Systems - SEEDS

Participants will gain knowledge in all the relevant domains of by taking part to advanced science and classes and by developing a full-time six months to present at the - 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 who take place in October every year!

The programme is a joint initiative between Politecnico di Torino, ISAE Supaero and University of Leicester, supported by leading institutional and industrial partners like Agenzia Spaziale Italiana, ESA - European Space Agency and Thales Alenia Space.

Last week SEEDS XIV students presented the final design of both EREBUS and MAVERIC missions at Space Park Leicester. The international project has concluded, with students having gained new knowledge, professional contacts and friendships!
