Amrik Singh Mudhar wins Best Dessert at Cook and Serve Challenge 2026, Leicester College recently hosted the Cook and Serve Challenge 2026 run by Venues of Excellence, the leading collection of exceptional venues delivering excellence in conferences, training and events.

This year’s competition celebrated the vibrant and diverse art of Asian Fusion, challenging competitors to create dishes that harmoniously blended flavours, techniques and traditions from across Asia.

Amrik Singh Mudhar whose passion, creativity, and technical skill earned him the Best Dessert award.

Amrik said:
“Winning the award felt like a full circle moment, bringing something back
to Leicester College not just for me, but for the students. Ultimately, it’s for them."

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our student fundraiser to enable 20 students from hospitality and catering to travel to Thailand to get valuable work experience. Thank you to students and staff at our fantastic Taste Restaurant and Wilson Vale. It was delicious and we raised £1500!
