EVENT NOTIFICATION

Translating in the EU Institutions

Do you have a passion for languages? Would you like to work in an international environment across multicultural and multilingual teams?
Then a career as an EU translator may be an option for you!

Paul Kaye, Languages Officer at the European Commission will be on campus to speak to students about the work of translators at the EU Institutions. His information talk will cover the opportunities available within the institutions for candidates with languages skills. He will also explain the recruitment process, giving tips and advice on how to be successful in it.

Please note that you don't need to be studying languages to work as an EU translator so this event will be of interest to students from any degree that already have or are willing to improve their foreign language skills.

Date and time: Thursday, 3 November, 4:30-6pm
