Leigh College Based at Leigh Sports Village, our students have access to world class facilities and opportunities at our Centre of Excellence in Sport.

We're proud of our college community at Leigh Campus and today was another example of everyone coming together - and for a great cause, raising money for Wigan & Leigh Hospice.

As part of our Enrichment programme, we ran our first Living Colour Run, which brought together students and staff for a circuit around the campus, while running through an array of colour run powder.

This was a great occasion and one we will certainly continue annually. Well done to everyone involved!

Congratulations to our former Sport Science student, Mia Atherton who played a big part in Wigan Warriors Women's Challenge Cup victory against St Helens last week.

Mia, who plays as a forward for the Warriors, previously achieved an impressive Distinction Star, Distinction Star, Distinction Star grade on her college course.

Our second year Level 3 Sports Science students were getting to grips with VR headsets in a range of sports including table tennis, cricket and Formula 1 - the latter of which they enjoyed competing against each other at various tracks from around the world.

Linking to their technology in sport unit, they also immersed themselves into 360° scenarios within real life sporting situations and experiences.
