Runshaw College has taken a further step in delivering its Strategic Plan by providing all staff with access to Microsoft Copilot Pro.
This is not about introducing technology for its own sake. It is a deliberate investment in enabling staff to focus on what matters most: high quality teaching, strong support for learners and improved curriculum outcomes.
A key priority within the current Strategic Plan is to further develop the effective use of artificial intelligence. The roll-out of Copilot Pro is a practical step in achieving that ambition, supporting purposeful, ethical and impactful use of AI. It is already helping to streamline routine activity and strengthen the focus on work that directly benefits learners. The development also supports the College’s forward priorities to embed appropriate and responsible use of technology to enhance quality and professional practice across the organisation.
This investment contributes directly to the College’s wider ambitions to be a Great Place to Work and a Great Place to Study, ensuring that colleagues have the tools, support and environment required to perform at their best.
Clare Russell, Principal and Chief Executive, said:
“At Runshaw College, we are clear that exceptional education is enabled by the conditions we create for our staff. Providing access to Copilot Pro for all colleagues is a practical expression of that commitment.
This is about supporting our staff to focus their time and expertise where it matters most. By strengthening capacity and capability, we can continue to enhance quality and deliver the best possible experience for our learners.
We will continue to develop our use of artificial intelligence in a way that is thoughtful, ethical and aligned to our public responsibilities, with a clear focus on improving practice and outcomes across the College.”
