At Liverpool John Moores University International Study Centre, you can choose from a range of pathway programmes to help you unlock your full potential.

The International Study Centre provides specialist degree preparation for international and EU students who would like to study at LJMU. Our programmes consist of academic modules, study skills and English language training, designed to ensure that you have the skills to succeed when you progress onto your degree at the University. Studying at LJMU will unlock your full potential, fast-track your

professional skills development and give you a CV to impress employers. Not only will you gain a respected academic qualification, you will also gain the skills, experience and confidence to help you succeed in the career of your choice after you graduate.

🌟 Celebrating a Rising Star!

We’re so proud of Dr Cristina-Steliana Mihailovici, Mechanical Engineering Tutor at LJMU International Study Centre, who has been named a 2025 Rising Star Award Winner by !

With a 25-year career spanning academia and Nautical Science & Engineering, Dr Mihailovici has made a powerful impact through her contributions and tireless work as a lecturer, researcher, STEM ambassador, writer, and advocate for sustainability, education, and equality. 💫

Cristina-Steliana is also a lifelong writer and cultural advocate. Her recent children’s book project, co-authored with her daughter Nicole Noelia, features the character Little Globy — a charming educational ambassador for the planet, designed to inspire young minds with messages of curiosity, inclusivity, and climate consciousness. 🌍📚

We’re incredibly honoured to have such an inspiring role model in our community – well done, Cristina! 👏💙
