Liverpool Egyptology Seminars A series of Egyptology lectures throughout the Academic year held at the University of Liverpool.

The Liverpool Egyptology Seminar Series is a series of lectures throughout the Academic year held at the University of Liverpool organised in collaboration by Post-graduate students and faculty staff. They are held within the Department of Archaeology, Classics and Egyptology and attract a large audience of students, staff and visitors from around the country. The seminar series provides a platform for established scholars from across Europe to present and discuss their current research. The papers cover a broad range of topoi including archaeology, linguistics, museology and philology, spanning the entire Pharaonic era as well as Predynastic and early Christian and Islamic cultures. The thematic range ensures that this series reflects the impressive diversity of research interests across the school and wider research community.

And we are back!!!

You can expect and exciting series of work-in-progress research lectures in Egyptology, as always on the first Thursday of the month (during term time) starting 1 October!

I also want to apologize for the IT issues we had at the last talk. The university has discontinued its support for Zoom and so we tried Teams, which was quite a disaster.
So I will personally sponsor a zoom subscription for the LES to ensure that those of you following us online can get the best experience possible.

See you all 1 October!
Details will be released soon
