Did you know Guildhall School runs a master's specialism with our neighbours, the world-renowned London Symphony Orchestra?

Launched in 2013, Orchestral Artistry students experience side by side rehearsals and performances with internationally renowned conductors, as well as workshops, repertoire training and mock auditions, all led by LSO musicians.

With alumni now working in orchestras all over the world, the impact of Orchestral Artistry in preparing them for future careers has been invaluable.

As we welcome the latest Orchestral Artistry students, and look ahead to applications for the next cohort closing soon, we explore the programme and hear from some of the alumni whose careers it has helped to shape.

A Memorial Service for George Hall, who taught Musicality, Musical Theatre and Ensemble Singing at Guildhall School for 22 years, will be held at St Paul's Church, Covent Garden, WC2E 9ED on Tuesday 22 September at 3pm.

All are warmly welcome to attend in celebration of George's life and work.

Did you catch Nicky on Last Night of the Proms this weekend? 🎉🎵

We're looking forward to seeing alumnus Nicky Spence performing in tomorrow's Last Night of the Proms ✨

Nicky's performance rounds off a Proms packed with Guildhall School Alumni and staff, including Nicky singing the title role in Weber's Oberon earlier this summer.

As well as being one of our most successful vocal graduates, Nicky was made a Fellow of Guildhall School in 2024 and continues to support our students, giving masterclasses and even launching the Nicky Spence Scholarship last year!
