Our learners continue to achieve amazing things - and here's another one to celebrate 🥳

Congratulations to CNWL Computing student Dahir Abdirazak Hajji, who has secured a place in the WorldSkills UK Finals in the Web Development category.

Dahir is one of just 407 finalists selected from more than 4,400 competitors across the UK and will compete in South Wales this November.

Alongside reaching the national finals, Dahir recently competed in the Greater London Skills Competition, where he and his team won the Cyber competition. Also, he was recognised at the College of North West London Student Awards with the Governors' Award and Study Programme Student of the Year (Creative Industries).

One of the best parts of our Student Awards is welcoming former students back to share their stories with our learners.

This year, we were pleased to welcome back College of North West London alum Andrew Onasanya 👏🏾

Since completing his Electrical Apprenticeship, Andrew has been recognised with Centrepoint Independent Living Award for his work supporting young people experiencing homelessness and named WorldSkills UK Apprentice of the Year.

It was great for our learners to hear about Andrew's journey and everything he's achieved since leaving CNWL 💜

🏅☀️ Teamwork, determination, and plenty of smiles at our ESOL Sports Day!

Last week (before the heatwave kicked in) our ESOL learners enjoyed a fantastic day of friendly competition, taking part in a range of sports and team challenges while building confidence, making new friendships, and celebrating the end of another successful year.

Events like this are about more than just sport, they're an opportunity for students to come together, develop communication and teamwork skills, and be part of our vibrant college community.

Today, we're celebrating the incredible teachers, lecturers, coaches and support staff who make a lasting difference in the lives of our students every day.

At United Colleges Group, we're especially proud to mark this year's Thank a Teacher Day alongside the fantastic news that we have been named a Silver Winner in the Pearson National Teaching Awards for Transformational Use of Digital Technology.

This recognition reflects six years of innovation and dedication from colleagues across UCG who have worked tirelessly to ensure every learner has access to the technology, support and opportunities they need to succeed.
