Niech odpoczywa w pokoju.
Cześć Jej pamięci. 🕯️"
17 th of Aprill, at 10:15 am. we will say farewell to Dr Bernice McManus-Falkowska, who passed away on 3 March 2026 at the age of 93.
"Bernice was Irish by birth, but for many years her heart also belonged to Poland and to the Polish community in the United Kingdom. As a physician she helped countless people, and as a person of great kindness and generosity she leaves behind a grateful memory in the hearts of many.
Throughout her life she was the devoted companion of her husband, Professor Wojciech Fałkowski – a distinguished psychiatrist, scout, and Rector of the Polish University Abroad in London. Together they created an extraordinary home, open to people and to the causes important to the Polish émigré community.
Bernice was deeply committed to Polish and Polish-diaspora affairs. With dedication she supported institutions and initiatives that sustained Polish culture, memory, and community in exile. Always present, kind, and ready to help, she was for many a friend and an inspiration.
We will remember her as a warm, wise, and deeply good person who had the rare gift of bringing people together and building bridges between nations.
May she rest in peace".
