What turns a T Level placement into the first step towards a career? Curiosity, confidence and a willingness to learn were key messages at South Bank Colleges’ Workplace Wednesday employer panel.

As part of T Levels Week, students heard career stories and practical advice from professionals across construction, engineering and healthcare, exploring the skills employers value and the opportunities industry placements can open up.

South Bank Colleges thanks Karl Rushen from COWI UK, Rebecca Davies from Willmott Dixon Interiors, Alex Gull from Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, and the college’s Careers & Progression Officer, Adetola Ogunyemi, for sharing their experience.

A special thank-you to COWI for its continued support through student placements and employer engagement. Karl shared how one T Level student’s placement led to an apprenticeship with the business, showing where these opportunities can lead.
