Stratford Original

Stratford Original Stratford Original is the Business Improvement District for Stratford Town Centre. The BID started in 2015 and April 2020 marked the end of its first term.

Stratford Original is the business led and funded Business Improvement District (BID) working to make Stratford a better place for business, to work, live and play. In October 2020 we successfully achieved our renewal ballot which means we will be moving Stratford forward for another five years until 2025. In the second term the BID has six main priorities:
Safety First, Shaping Change, One Business Voice, Delivering Value, Placemaking, Communication and events. Our continuous support for businesses during the Covid-19 pandemic is also our priority of 2020-2021. For anyone who would like to learn more about what we do visit our website or contact us directly. If you are a business within the BID area you can get directly involved by joining on of the Stratford Original Steering Groups to help drive change.

🤝 Bringing Stratford businesses together.

In a world where so much of our connection happens online, there’s still real value in meeting face to face, sharing ideas and building relationships within our local business community.

Our latest networking event at brought Stratford businesses together to do exactly that — connect, engage and discover more about the people and businesses around them.

It’s all part of what we do at Stratford Original: creating opportunities for our local business community to connect both online and in real life, and helping to bridge the gap between the two.

A big thank you to for hosting us, and to everyone who joined us. ♥️

🇺🇦✨ Cafe XIX Nineteen has reopened in a new Stratford location!

A local favourite has found a new home at 402 High Street, bringing authentic Ukrainian cuisine to the Stratford community.

From traditional flavours to a warm and welcoming atmosphere, Cafe XIX Nineteen is another example of the diverse independent businesses that make Stratford such a vibrant place to visit, work and explore.

We’re excited to welcome them to their new location and look forward to seeing their next chapter unfold.

🌿 Creating healthier streets for Stratford.

Recently, Stratford Original joined partners from and to explore the work taking place to improve air quality and create a healthier town centre.

As part of the Healthy Streets Audit, we heard from Ollie about the waste consolidation project, which aims to reduce the number of waste collection vehicles travelling through Stratford by combining collections into fewer trips.

With fewer vehicles on our streets, the project has the potential to improve air quality and reduce carbon emissions, helping to create a cleaner, healthier environment for everyone who lives, works and visits Stratford.
