🧠 Hypnosis may be happening more often than you think.

When we think about hypnosis, we often imagine a formal therapy session with an induction and deepening. But what about those everyday moments when we become completely absorbed in an experience?

Think about driving home and suddenly realising you've arrived without consciously remembering every turn. Or becoming so absorbed in a film that your body responds as though what you're watching is actually happening.

These experiences raise an interesting question: Is hypnosis an altered state of consciousness, or can hypnotic experiences occur naturally as part of everyday life?

In this video, we explore the state and non-state theories of hypnosis, as well as the possibility of hybrid approaches.
