This community brings together physics and astronomy students throughout the UK and Ireland, to connect and support each other, promoting physics in society. We work with student volunteers to host activities and events that are relevant to physics and related students. Together we host annual trips conferences, society forums and various joint events with IAPS, such as PLANCKS competition, or IAP
S4SPACE. Additionally, each year students host CAPS, the annual Conference for Astronomy & Physics Students, held at a different university each year. Affiliated Societies
The IOP is proud to be able to support the work of university student physics and astronomy societies throughout the UK and Ireland. Each year, we affiliate with dozens of physics and related societies, connecting them to each other, promoting fun and developmental activities, and supporting their events with funding, resources and speakers. Societies receive a £150 affiliation grant automatically, and can apply for additional funding up to £1000. If your society wants to promote events on our page - message us! IOP Campus Ambassadors
IOP Campus Ambassadors inspire others to share their passion for physics and get involved outside the lab. They organise events and promote IOP activities, developing relationships on campus and promoting collaboration wherever possible. In doing so, they highlight the support that students receive through membership of the IOP.
