🏢Listening Care + Fully: Exhibition at IALS
Listening Care + Fully is a multi-layered spatial inquiry into 17 Russell Square, explored through film, portraiture, installation, and archival documentation. The project moves across temporal and material registers to examine both the present-day condition of Charles Clore House and the longer histories embedded within its site. 17 Russell Square carries legacies that extend beyond the visible fabric of the existing Grade II listed Brutalist building designed by Denys Lasdun. This project brings these histories into dialogue with the present, foregrounding the people, institutional practices, and spatial conditions that have shaped the site over time. In doing so, it draws attention to how architecture participates in structuring knowledge, authority, and legal imaginaries.
🗓️The exhibition is now open on the ground floor of the Institute, between 10:00 and 17:00 every weekday, until the end of September 2026.
All welcome, no booking required.
Listening Care + Fully is curated by Nothando Nolwazi Lunga, IALS practitioner-in-residence for 2025-26.
