Training: Friday evenings
Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre, E20 3AD

Welcome to the City University Hockey Team page! This page represents both the Men's and Women's teams. You will find updates of the club’s activity throughout the year, such as match results, photos and socials! We welcome all standards of players here at City and cater for beginners all the way to experienced. As well as learning and playing hockey, it is a great way to meet other students at Ci

ty and make a good group of friends! Both teams play in the LUSL league (London Universities Sports Leagues) and matches take place on Sundays. We are lucky to be able to train at Lee Valley Stadium in the Olympic park, on a newly built waterbased pitch. We have 2 sessions per week. Wednesday: Casual training at Lee Valley for Girls, 6:30pm til 7:30/8pm with a social at the Uni Bar for Sports Night. Friday: Official Mixed Training for Both Teams at Lee Valley at 6:30 to 8pm. Mens Matches are on Wednesday. Women's Matches are on Sunday. You will be able to find us all day at Fresher’s fair on Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th September. We will be happy to meet you and answer any questions you may have!!! Taster sessions will be on the 4th and 6th of October. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us through Citysports, messaging this page or simply via email at [email protected]

We as a club stand in solidarity with the movement against violence and systemic racism towards the black community. We aspire to use our social media platform to educate each other and encourage people to stand up for what they believe in. There are an abundance of resources which need to be engaged with. Below are a few suggested ways you can broaden your knowledge:

1. Educational Books. The City University Library is broadening it’s range of books. You can request books by following this link: https://libraryservices.city.ac.uk/resources/new-purchase-request/liberating-citylibrary

2. Online Resources. https://www.itsnicethat.com/news/resources-supporting-black-lives-matter-movement-creative-industry-010620

3. Petitions. Sign and share them, have your voice heard.

These are just a few of the ways we can advocate for change, and they scratch the surface of the information which can be used to educate ourselves. “My skin is not a sin”
