Explore interactive displays, meet researchers, discover specialist collections and libraries, take part in activities, and hear a programme of short talks showcasing research across the humanities - from AI and climate action to literature, law, history, philosophy and archives.

The festival is free and open to University of London and federation staff and students, as well as members of the public.

MA History of the Book student Haley is back and this time she takes us behind the scenes of her internship at the British Jesuit Archives, sharing how she's preserving and improving access to historical collections.

Students have undertaken placements in Maggs Bros., Jarndyce Booksellers, Robert Frew Ltd., the Foundling Museum, and many other places.

The Centre for Public Engagement Practice in Arts and Humanities (CPEP) is pleased to announce the award of circa £100,000 supporting seven newly-formed teams who will work together over the course of a year to develop innovative public engagement activities.

The Collaboration and Innovation Grant, funded by the UK Government through UK Research and Innovation, brings together interdisciplinary teams involving researchers, engagement professionals, and partners from cultural, creative, charity, and community sectors. It funds newly formed, practice-led teams to experiment and deliver projects that reimagine the scope of what public engagement can be.

Funded projects will focus on team building, creating new and lasting connections, and knowledge exchange that cuts across sectors, disciplines and functions. The teams will develop collaborative activities across a wide range of places within the UK.

Across the seven awarded projects, the CPEP team will be working with 22 Higher Education Institutions and 3 Independent Research Organisations, with a total of 24 researchers, 12 professional services staff and 23 non-academic partners involved throughout England, Scotland and Wales.

Projects include:

🌟 Interactive engagement with early music – a national programme of experimental workshops led by University of Birmingham
🌟 Community and care through global textile histories led by University of the Arts London
🌟 Ecological Translation led by University of Kent
🌟 Kairos: A Time for Action led by University of Cumbria
🌟 Copper Frequencies / Amleddau Copr led by Northumbria University
🌟 From ecological ‘Slow Disasters’ to biodiverse food security in the Cambridgeshire Fens and Norfolk Broads led by University of Cambridge
🌟 Gossip Forum led by University of Lancashire
