Next Tuesday, 26 January, Dr Carool Kersten, Reader in the Study of Islam and the Muslim World, will be giving a seminar about the impact of the 1991 Persian Gulf War, on occasion of the 30th anniversary of Operation Desert Storm.

He will not only speak as an academic, but also share his experiences of personal witnessing these events when he was stationed a Saudi Air Base during his a 10-year posting in the Middle East.

The event is hosted by the Institute of Middle Eastern Studies at King's College London
