It has been a brilliant summer term with lecturer Medina Williamson.

Medina has just finished teaching our Certificate in Social Events and Party Planning at our preferred venue, Novotel London ExCeL. Earlier in the term, she also led the Advanced MasterClass in Luxury Brand Management at Good Hotel London.

We look forward to welcoming Medina back in the autumn for the Certificate in Luxury Event Management. Until then, enjoy the summer.

Today, our Summer Term event students stepped out of the classroom and into one of London’s most distinctive event venues.

Led by lecturer Nick.Oxborrow, students visited Andaz London Liverpool Street for a site tour at the heart of London’s event scene, exploring how historic spaces are used for contemporary meetings, private events, hospitality and corporate experiences.

A sincere thank you to Andaz London Liverpool Street, Hyatt, and Karan for sharing valuable industry insight into venue operations, client expectations and the practical details that shape successful events in one of London’s most important business districts.

Site tours are a key part of learning at The Event School London. They help students connect theory with practice, ask questions in real event spaces and understand how professional event decisions are made.

For our summer students, it is a focused opportunity to build industry knowledge in a short time.

For those considering our September Degree Alternative or Postgraduate Alternative programmes, it offers a glimpse of what practical, London based event education can look like.

Meet Summer Lecturer, Nick Oxborrow.

As Lead Lecturer for our Event Management courses, Nick brings 30 years of international hospitality and events experience into the classroom.

While running his award-winning events agency, Fabulation, in Singapore, Nick created and managed events worldwide, including marketing activations, conferences, exhibitions, celebrations, gala events and large-scale outdoor experiences.

His client portfolio includes Netflix, Facebook and Microsoft, alongside international luxury brands such as Soho House, Chanel and LVMH.

This July, Nick will lead two engaging London courses:
