We have been named as runner-up University of the Year for Social Inclusion! 🏅(The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2027)

This special award recognises and celebrates our diverse student body

The results show that in the wider award table we have risen five places and we are ranked in the top 10 for three subjects:

⭐️6th in the UK for History of Art, Architecture and Design
⭐️8th in the UK for Art and Design
⭐️10th in the UK for Communications and Media Studies

Last week, we welcomed our alumnus Kae Tempest to the Goldsmiths graduation celebrations to receive an Honorary Fellowship in recognition of his outstanding achievements.

Kae is a recording artist, lyricist, performer, author, playwright, and poet who grew up in South East London and graduated with a degree in English Literature from Goldsmiths in 2008.

At the ceremony, he performed a meaningful piece compiled from lines and lyrics from bodies of work he has produced every year since 2008.

“My friends, if it’s alive, it will not stay the same
And the base of it still, is the will to maintain
The will to be thankful for whatever comes
And make peace, with whatever came”
