Join us on Thursday, 5 November 2026, from 18:30–19:45 GMT at Bayes Business School, London, for an inspiring evening exploring what leadership, brands and human values mean in an era of unprecedented technological change.

We are delighted to welcome back Muhtar Kent, retired Chairman and CEO of The Coca-Cola Company, marking 50 years since his graduation, to deliver the annual flagship lecture for the Faculty of Management as part of the Dean’s Lecture Series.

Drawing on more than four decades of global business leadership, Muhtar Kent will reflect on the transformation from the business world of 1976 to today’s rapidly accelerating era of Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing. The event will be chaired by Professor Caroline Wiertz, Professor of Marketing at Bayes Business School.

What if you could go from an idea to a working AI product in a single day?

That was the challenge at our AI Hackathon, where our Full-time MBA and Executive MBA students each had the opportunity to build, test and experiment with AI.

We began with a hands-on workshop exploring the key stages of AI product development: understanding requirements, designing a solution, collaborating with clients, building and testing a prototype, and presenting it effectively. Along the way, students got to grips with the AI tools that can accelerate the product-development process.

Then it was time to build. Working in teams, our MBA students selected real-world challenges and turned their ideas into working mini-products from scratch. By the end of the day, every team presented its prototype and received feedback.

It was brilliant to see students arrive ready to create, push themselves beyond their expectations, and leave with something tangible.

A huge thank you to Lappas, our AI expert and session lead, for guiding the day, and to our fantastic FTMBA and EMBA cohorts for bringing such energy, creativity and determination.

Join us at Bayes Business School for a fireside chat with two of the UK’s most experienced M&A professionals, Ian Hart and Susan Kilsby, as part of the Dean’s Lecture Series.
Hosted by the M&A Research Centre (MARC) at Bayes Business School.

Chaired by Professor Michel Driessen, Director of the M&A Research Centre (MARC), the discussion will explore the forces transforming global dealmaking, including:

- Geopolitical shifts and the changing regulatory landscape
-Cross-border transactions and corporate governance
-The impact of AI on dealmaking and due diligence
-How M&A research has evolved over the past 18 years

The event will conclude with an audience Q&A and a networking drinks reception.

Bayes Business School is delighted to announce that Professor John Forth, Professor of Human Resource Management at Bayes, is part of a consortium of 15 academics awarded more than £2 million in funding from ADR UK to enhance the use of public sector data for economic research.

Professor Forth will lead the work on the Linked Employer-Employee Dataset (LEED), helping researchers unlock valuable insights into productivity, employment, earnings, career progression, inequality and tax policy.

This important initiative will strengthen access to high-quality economic data, support evidence-based policymaking and contribute to a deeper understanding of the UK labour market.
