👏 Congratulations to three LSE academics who have been awarded European Research Council Starting Grants.

Assistant Professors Mobarak Hossain, Paula Onuchic and Maarten De Ridder will each receive funding to develop ambitious research projects.

📝 Their projects explore how education systems shape inequality, how reputations and perceptions of responsibility influence behaviour in groups and how innovation drives productivity and economic growth.

We're delighted to celebrate the recognition of Professor Tania Burchardt and Professor Coretta Phillips, from LSE's Department of Social Policy, who have been elected as Fellows of the Academy of Social Sciences.

Their election as Fellows recognises their significant contributions to the social sciences and to public understanding of some of society's most pressing challenges. Professor Burchardt was elected in recognition of her work on inequalities and the welfare state, while Professor Phillips was recognised for her contributions to the fields of race, ethnicity, crime, criminal justice and social policy.
