Today marks a significant milestone in an exciting new chapter for Goodenough College as we celebrate the completion of the main phase of the Georgian Houses refurbishment.

Earlier this afternoon, the Managing Director of Buxton Building Contractors ceremonially handed over the keys to the College Director, symbolising the successful conclusion of Buxton's work on this ambitious renovation project delivered to an excellent standard.

With the keys now officially handed over, final preparations are underway ahead of welcoming new Members this September.

A huge thank you to Buxton Building Contractors and everyone involved in bringing this project to life. We are also incredibly grateful to our Alumni, Donors and friends worldwide, whose generosity and support have helped make this vision a reality.

We can't wait to see these historic buildings filled with the energy, ideas and friendships of future generations of Goodenough Members.

From Rome to Prague to Guernsey, Goodenough Members travelled across Europe this summer, exploring big ideas and engaging with leading experts through the Dean's Colloquiums.

📍 In Rome, Members visited the FAO headquarters to discuss the geopolitics of food with senior policymakers, including Goodenough alumni Meran Lukic and Ashlyn Anderson.

📍 In Prague, they joined Lord Richards and Elspeth Talbot-Rice KC for the Robinson Colloquium in Trusts and were welcomed by British Ambassador Matt Field.

📍 In Guernsey, Members explored Island Arts and were welcomed to Government House by Lieutenant-General Sir Richard Cripwell, Governor of Guernsey.

These unique experiences demonstrate the power of bringing together talented postgraduate students, thought leaders and practitioners to engage with ideas that shape our world.

In June, Goodenough College’s Director and Director of Alumni Relations and Philanthropy were delighted to tour the East Coast of North America, reconnecting with Alumni and supporters across Toronto, Boston and New York.

From a donor dinner and Alumni gathering in Toronto to our first US Alumni events in nearly a decade, the tour strengthened connections, celebrated our global community, and showcased the enthusiasm of Goodenough Alumni across Canada and the United States.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. The warm welcome and strong engagement we experienced throughout the tour demonstrated the strength of Goodenough’s North American Alumni network. We look forward to returning soon!

One of the many benefits of being a Goodenough Member is access to extraordinary opportunities for intellectual engagement and global learning.
Earlier this month, Goodenough Members travelled to Rome for the Robinson Dean's Colloquium on Judging and Decision-making, led by College Fellow The Rt Hon Lord Sales, Justice of the UK Supreme Court, and Professor Larry Kramer, Vice Chancellor of the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Hosted at the Pontifical Athenaeum of Sant' Anselmo on Rome's Aventine Hill, participants explored landmark judicial decisions and examined the principles underlying judicial reasoning in a highly interactive and thought-provoking setting.

This unforgettable learning experience was made possible through the generosity of KLH Robinson BCL (Oxon), offering Members a rare opportunity to engage with world-leading thinkers in an exceptional academic environment.

Goodenough College Alumni in Rome!
We were delighted to meet with our Rome Alumni Group during the Dean's visit to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Rome.

Moving to London for postgraduate study is a life-changing experience and, for many students, that journey includes bringing their families along.

In this video, Jaewon, a Goodenough Member from South Korea, shares his experience of living at Goodenough College with his wife and family. His story shows how the College provides more than a place to live: it offers a welcoming international community where postgraduate students and their families can feel at home.

From connecting with other families through the Parents Club, to dedicated spaces where children can learn, play and socialise, Goodenough supports Members in balancing academic ambitions with family life in London.
