Genuine question for anyone who did a business degree: which book actually changed how you think about it?

We put a list together for students starting in September. Shoe Dog is on there. Knight is honest about how close Nike came to going under, and textbooks rarely show you that side of a business.

Thinking Fast and Slow made it too, though it's a slow read. And Bad Blood, because everyone should read about Theranos at least once.

Two others made the cut. What would you put on there instead of one of ours?

Football's back. Every signing your club announced this summer, every fee your group chat argued about, crossed the desk of someone who checked the numbers first and said Yes, we can afford this.

That's our logo on the hoardings at Charlton, by the way. Football and this university aren't strangers.

Here's the thing about getting into football, though. Thousands of people fight through the front door, the one marked scouting, analysis, or media. The finance door is in the same building, and the queue outside it is a lot shorter. The same goes for record labels, game studios, and every other company you'd actually brag about working for.
