One of the biggest benefits of a T Level is the opportunity to complete a substantial industry placement. First-year student Haly chose the Design & Development for Engineering & Manufacturing T Level because she wanted an academic qualification that also offered valuable workplace experience and a different route from A Levels.
As part of her course, Haly will undertake a 45-day industry placement, helping her gain first-hand experience of engineering in the workplace. She hopes to progress into an electrical or mechatronics apprenticeship after college.
"The work placement was one of the biggest reasons I chose a T Level. It gives you the chance to learn from professionals and see how engineering works in the real world while you're still studying."
