Meet your new Sports Collective 🏆

These six student leaders are here to champion your sports club experience, make sure your voice is heard, and help shape sport at Greenwich. 
 
Whether you’ve got an idea to improve your club, feedback to share, or a challenge you’d like support with, the Sports Collective is your direct link between sports clubs and Greenwich Students’ Union. They’ll be gathering feedback, representing members, and helping create an even better sporting community across our campuses.
 
They’ll also play a key role in shaping major student events, including Varsity, awards celebrations and more. 
 
This is all about strengthening student sport and making sure every club member has a voice.

The LASE Leadership Academy is a six-week leadership development programme for students from the Universities of Kent and Greenwich, designed to build the skills, knowledge and confidence to lead.

Running across November, December, January and February, the programme combines online and in-person sessions, featuring exclusively designed content, practical activities and inspiring speakers from a range of backgrounds.

Students will have opportunities in a peer environment to ask questions, share perspectives and develop their leadership journey together.

Whether you’re new to leadership or already developing your experience, the Leadership Academy provides a space to learn, connect and grow. You’ll also be encouraged to explore opportunities to take on student leadership roles within the Students’ Union, putting your skills and ideas into action. 
 
Who can apply? 

Current students studying at the Universities of Kent and Greenwich are eligible to apply for the LASE Leadership Academy. No previous leadership experience is required. 
 
Wherever you are on your journey, you’re welcome here. If you are looking to build your confidence, explore leadership, develop new skills or simply connect with others, LASE Leadership Academy is open to you.

GSU represents you! And GSU Council is one way to make your voice heard 📢

The next GSU Council meeting is 19th October. Find out more on our website. 

GSU Council is the highest decision-making body at Greenwich Students’ Union (GSU) The purpose is to reflect and represent the views of members.

Council sets out a course of action for the organisation and its representatives through the decisions it makes.

Attending and participating in GSU Council is open to all students. Any student can also submit an agenda item to be discussed at the meeting. This is just one way students can make a change at Greenwich.

Greenwich Students’ Union and Kent Students’ Union are excited to be bringing back the GLOW workshop! This year, applications are open to female students across Greenwich and Kent.

Successful applicants will be invited to take part in a thoughtfully curated two-day development programme, held on our Medway campus on the 4th and 5th November 2026, designed to inspire, empower and equip you for your journey ahead.
 
Throughout the programme, you will hear directly from inspiring female panellists, have the opportunity to ask questions, and gain insight into their personal and professional journeys through academia and beyond. 
 
Together, we will explore the experiences, challenges and opportunities that come with being a woman, creating a space for honest conversations, connection and shared learning.
